Dental Wellness Trust
Dr Linda Greenwall’s birthday gift to herself this year fulfils a long-envisioned life goal: to establish a dental charity for those in need. Out of her vision comes Dental Wellness Trust, a London-based, non-profit charity providing dental wellness and oral health care programs for disadvantaged individuals and communities around the world-- as well as a consultancy and mentoring program for dentists. The mission of the DWT is to improve oral health and the dental wellbeing of the less-fortunate by providing pro-bono treatment in the United Kingdom, New Zealand, Israel, and Indigenous Australia.
Fundamental to the work of the Trust, and motivated by prevention strategies, is an education program designed to achieve a good level of oral wellbeing, thereby empowering individuals to take charge of their dental health.
The Trust also provides a consultancy and mentoring program for dentists, allowing them to improve efficiency in the workplace and further their careers by pairing them with other dentists, giving them opportunities to gain vital skills and experience from experts in their field. A full program of occupational health screening for dentists is also offered.
Dr Greenwall’s goal is to establish strong relationships with major dental companies worldwide to help fund and supply dental products as part of their corporate social responsibility. The Trust distributes toothbrushes and tooth paste, as well as disseminates information and education about oral hygiene.
Delivering Smiles to the Community

Globally, individuals and whole communities have limited or no access to basic oral healthcare services. In some countries, dental healthcare is often poorly funded, despite its proven impact on the quality of life for a staggering number of people-- billions, actually.
The World Health Organisation (WHO) recognises the increasing problem of dental decay, especially among children, yet oral health remains chiefly ignored and under-resourced in many communities. As a result, many people suffer with severe pain from untreated oral diseases and ailments which could otherwise be wholly prevented.
The Dental Wellness Trust works with local authorities and other organisations to deliver its programs. With increasing shortcomings in central government funding, the trust aims to complement and work closely with countries to maximise efficiency and output by providing a basic level of oral hygiene to communities in need as well as the vital dental supplies necessary to fulfil this goal.
The Trust has assembled an exceptional team of dentists who offer pro-bono treatment to adults and children with serious dental ailments, but who are unable to self-fund treatment. Patients are primarily treated in the UK, with the DWT organising all related logistics.
The DWT is supported by a team of patrons and steered by a board of trustees and experienced team of advisors.
