Dr. Greenwall, was born in Cape Town, South Africa and following in her father's and grandfather's footsteps (both dentists), she graduated from Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa in 1984. Working in general practice following her graduation and moving to London, Dr. Greenwall began to specialise in restorative dentistry, before embarking upon an MSc at Guy's (London). During her time in private practice she developed a special interest in tooth whitening, undertaking extensive research on this subject as part of her MSc studies, not only helping her to gain a distinction, but also becoming the first dentist in the UK to research the subject.
The year 1993 saw the launch of Dr. Greenwall's own multi-disciplinary practice in Hampstead, London. Over the past 15 years, Dr. Greenwall has been working hard building and developing the practice. In 1995 she won the Lloyds Bank Small Business Award, and in 1997 won Best New Practice in Dentistry Monthly Magazine. She has also written an award-winning book on tooth whitening, lecturing around the UK and overseas on the subject, and more recently was appointed Editor-in-Chief of Aesthetic Dentistry Today, a bi-monthly magazine specialising in restorative dentistry. As part of her commitment to delivering high quality dentistry to patients, Dr. Greenwall attends various study groups and courses throughout the year, updating her knowledge on all aspects of dentistry and practice management. Dr. Greenwall is greatly liked and respected by her team, patients and colleagues. In 2005 her practice has been awarded the Investors in People accolade, which has just been renewed.
Besides running a very busy practice, Dr Greenwall lectures extensively around the world on the subejct of Tooth Bleaching and writes frequent editorials for the dental press.
In June 2008 Dr Greenwall launched the British Dental Bleaching Society (BDBS) which aims to lobby for changes in the controversial bleaching legislation and to educate dentists in tooth whitening.
